Students throughout the school participated in visiting "Animal Tales" program, reinforcing Common Core standards in science.

Animals Tales presented The Nature’s Nightlife program which provides a fun, but educational, interactive and safe learning experience that featured 5 live animals that utilize the cover of night to master their role as the hunter or the hunted. Participants were introduced to birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians from all around the world focusing on their unique adaptations that allowed them to survive in the dark. The audience was asked to interact with the animals through “hands-on” volunteering, question & answer and participation activities. All participants had an up-close and personal experience.
Animal Tales offers a completely new educational animal program every year. They don't simply lecture, but involve and interact with participants.
The wallaby was a well received exhibit.
Students were completely enthralled with the exhibit and learned so much from the experience.
Animal Tales attempted to reverse the misunderstandings of snakes by bringing live reptile ambassadors to Dupont.

Social Studies Skills Using Technology

Middle school students engage in formative assessments of social studies target skills using iPad Apps.

State Agency Schools started to integrate Ipads in the classroom at the end of last school year. Now students are starting to get a full grasp on the world of iPads and apps.
