Ballard Softball



The Ballard Softball team is home to many district and regional titles as well as a few state championships. The Ballard softball is coached by head Coach Alan Jones and assistant coach Brad Smith, Nick Domeck, Pat Heitz, and pitching coach and former player Brittany Mockabee. Coach Alan Jones took over the team in 1999 leading the ladies to a District win since 2002, Region Champions 4 times, State Runners Up in 2005 and 2011 and finishing 7th in state in 2018.


2018 Spring Season

In the 2018 spring season the Ballard Bruins were 29-6. The young ladies defeated Eastern and CAL in Districts to advance to regionals. In regionals the girl fought a long and hard battle against Assumption Rockets and their rivals; Male Bulldogs. The ladies moved on to State in Owensboro, Kentucky. There the Bruins lost to Butler High School. Finishing 7th in the state. The lady bruins had an incredible year and sent 5 of 7 seniors to play next level Softball. The seniors include: Madison Alexander (Missouri Valley College), Kristen Klimesh(Georgetown College), Shelby Kelly(Clemson University), Za'Kiya Sizemore(Lindsey Wilson College), and Alivia Sinnot(University of South Florida).

Many of the players continued to play softball after high school at the listed schools
