Dr. Flowers is excited and honored to be part of the best middle school in Jefferson County! He looks forward to working with the students, teachers, and parents in the JTMS community. Dr. Flowers is originally from Mississippi. He moved to Louisville in 2005. Dr. Flowers has previously taught high school Business and Marketing, middle school Computer Science, and middle school Engineering courses. In 2017, Dr. Flowers became a district level Bullying Prevention Resource Teacher. Prior to entering the field of education, he served in the military for 20 years. Dr. Flowers graduated from Alcorn State University, Touro University School of Business, University of the Cumberlands, and Spalding University. He has earned the following degrees: Bachelor of Health Service Administration, Master of Business Administration, Instructional Leadership - Principal Certification, and Doctor of Education with a concentration in Educational Leadership.
Rajwinder Kauer, assistant principal

Ms. Kaur is ecstatic to join the Johnson family. Originally from Queens, New York, she moved to Louisville in 2011. Ms. Kaur earned her bachelor's degree in Political Science and Film/Media Cultureat Middlebury College. She received her master's degree at the University of Louisville (UofL) and her Ed.S. in Instructional Administration at Bellarmine University. She considers herself a lifelong learner and is working on her doctorate at UofL in Instructional Leadership. Ms. Kaur has previously taught middle school English Language Arts and served as an Equity and Inclusion resource teacher. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, reading, and learning new things.
Cassandra Woods, Assistant Principal

Born and raised in Louisville, Mrs. Woods is a product of the JCPS system and is delighted to be a part of the Jaguar family at the best middle school in the district! Mrs. Woods has served children and families for 25 years as a high school language arts teacher, a high school guidance counselor, an elementary principal intern, and a middle school assistant principal. Mrs. Woods earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary English Education from the University of Kentucky, her Master of Arts degree in Secondary Guidance Counseling from Eastern Kentucky University, and her Principal Certification from Indiana University Southeast. Mrs. Woods considers herself a lifelong learner and is currently working on her doctorate in Educational Leadership at the University of Louisville. Mrs. Woods is the proud mother of two daughters, Taylor (Louisville Male High School, Class of 2014) and Karrington (Dupont Manual High School, Class of 2019). In her spare time, Mrs. Woods enjoys spending time with her husband Kevin and her girls, reading, and gardening. While at Johnson, Mrs. Woods believes she has one primary job: to provide an environment that optimizes student safety, student learning, and student growth. She believes that when given the opportunity, all students possess the ability and intrinsic desire to learn at high levels both academically and socially. Through the collaborative efforts of both parents and the school, Mrs. Woods believes that thoughts can become actions, ideas can become plans, and dreams can become realities.
