Mental Health Services

As the mental health counselor at Portland Elementary, I provide individual and group counseling to our students. Additionally, I coordinate services with our community counseling providers to assist students and their families with services they may need.

Boys and Girls Haven offers several therapists, both male and female, who work in the home and school environments. Boys Haven also provides case management, which can help coordinate community supports for families in need. Additionally, we have Dr. Elam, a child psychiatrist who comes to school twice a month to assist families with medication for mental health needs.

Centerstone, formerly Seven Counties, has a therapist who comes to school twice a week, providing individual therapy.

Kentucky Counseling offers two in-school therapists as well as case management.
